The Village of Prairie Grove adopted a mailbox policy on April 17, 2012. The purpose is during snow removal operations, many miles of roadway must be cleared and maintained for safe travel. Unfortunately, during this process, a few mailboxes may be damaged by the weight of the thrown snow and in some instances by the strike of a plow truck. The Village of Prairie Grove respects its residents' property and realizes the importance of our residents receiving mail in a timely fashion. This policy is put in place to direct Village Staff with regard to guidelines by which they can refer to when determining whether damage is the result of a snow plow truck striking a properly installed and operating mailbox. Please click here for a copy of our policy.
Free wood chips upon availability.
